Research schools

Two national research schools are available for the PhD candidates at the Faculty of Theology. You can apply to be admitted to either one of them if it is academically relevant to your PhD Project.

Authoritative Texts and Their Reception: National Research School on Textual Interpretation (ATTR)

Textual interpretation is fundamental to research in the humanities, law, and theology.

ATTR is an interdisciplinary national research school for PhD-candidates who in their dissertation work engage in some way with the interpretation of authoritative texts.

The national interdisciplinary Research School Religion-Values-Society (RVS)

RVS is relevant for PhD-candidates who work empirically on questions concerning contemporary religion, values and society.

MF Norwegian School of Theology is host institution.
