The Middle Commentary on Aristotleʼs Nicomachean Ethics was written by the Muslim philosopher Ibn Rushd, in the west known as Averroes, in 1177. The original Arabic text is lost, but Frédérique Woerther has studied the extant Hebrew and Latin translations and will give a lecture on Averroes' modification of Aristotleʼs text, his motives and whom he addresses in this text.

Cand.theol. Ole Jakob Løland will defend his doctoral dissertation: "Pauline Refigurations. A Study in the Reception of Paul the Apostle in the Works of Jacob Taubes and Slavoj Žižek" for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor (PhD) at the Faculty of Theology.
Ole Jakob Løland's trial lecture: "Jacob Taubes og Slavoj Žižek both articulate the figure of Paul as an 'anti-liberal' figure of 'radical politics'. Why and how do these articulations, in both instances, become so thoroughly wrapped up with legacies of anti-Judaism?"
The International Academy of Practical Theology (IAPT) is a scientific community dedicated to the the study of and critical reflection on practical theological thought and action. At present, IAPT has members from over 20 countries.
Reformation theology often defined itself in sharp and outspoken opposition to medieval theology, especially to the traditions of scholastic theology. In Protestant theology, the Reformation has also on a more general basis frequently been defined in opposition to medieval tradition, both with regard to organization, ritual practice and piety. However, this way of interpretation in terms of sharp oppositions has been challenged and strongly modified during the last decades.
The GOBA Colloquium meets regularly to discuss classic and new writings related to the core objectives of the GOBA project.
