Academic interests

My academic interests lie within the relationship between religion and the environment/climate. I am particularly interested in the role that religion and spirituality can play in contributing to (or counteracting) a sustainable transition of society. Since May 2024, I have been working on the project ‘What are the greening dynamics of religion?’ under the supervision of Professor Jens Köhrsen. The project investigates how the environment and sustainability are integrated as themes within religious organisations and to what extent this has an effect on the religiosity and environmental behaviour of members. Since August 2025, I have been at TF, where I am writing my PhD thesis in connection with the project.

Background

I have a degree in religious studies and political science from Aarhus University. In my master's thesis from January 2024, I examined nature spirituality among young Danish environmental activists based on Bron Taylor's theory of ‘dark green religion’. During my studies, I worked as an instructor (teaching assistant) in the bachelor's courses in ‘history of religion’ and ‘Christianity and Islam’ in religious studies at Aarhus University.
