The network was concluded in 2009

About:
The Network for the Study of Early Christianity in its Greco-Roman Context will work to establish studies of the Early Christian world as an interdisciplinary field of study in a Nordic academic context. The network will provide a common forum for doctoral students and young scholars as part of larger research groups and networks, and contribute to fulfil requirements for national PhD-programmes.
Main focus:
- synchronic studies of the multifaceted world in which Early Christianity emerged.
- the formation of Early Christianities through interactions and conflicts in its context, as well as through transformations of its classical and Biblical heritage.
- development of new theoretical approaches, models and concepts. Presentation of the research area
